We are eagerly looking for talents!
We are an interdisciplinary group seeking both experimentalists and theorists from various fields, including but not limited to chemical engineering, mechanical engineering and biological engineering. We value diversity, equity and inclusion and foster a collaborative group culture. We encourage interested individuals at all academic stages to contact us at qmqi [at] mit.edu. External funding is optional, relevant experience is preferred, motivation is mandatory!
Interested researchers looking to start January 2024 or later are encouraged to submit a CV and a cover letter summarizing past research experience, proposed project(s) and a career plan at qmqi [at] mit.edu. Candidates will be contacted for interviews, starting Fall 2023. Please check back often for specific project openings as well.
Prospective students should first apply to the MIT Department of Chemical Engineering (fee waivers available through the Dean of Engineering). Interested MIT students should inquire Prof. Qi at qmqi [at] mit.edu directly and schedule individual meetings prior to advisor selection. First-year chemical engineering students are encouraged to attend 10.990 seminar series to learn about our group and the latest recruiting information.
Undergraduate students and visiting students
